ABOUT ME

Putting My Experience
to Work

Jewel was raised in Greenburgh and has always held Democrat values close at heart. In succeeding her mother, Hon. Alfreda Williams, in representing the constituents of District No. 8, Jewel is committed to continuing her mother's legacy and to advocating for taxpayer protection, affordable housing, child care, climate change, quality of life issues, women's rights, diversity, equity and inclusion as well as supporting our youth and young adults.  Jewel is someone who highly regards community involvement and her advocacy in her positions (on the right) all serve as solid footing to extend the legacies of both her mother and that of the late Hon. Lois Bronz. Jewel’s goal is to be accessible, approachable, and attentive to the concerns of the citizens of her district and Westchester County. Jewel’s election will be a culmination of all the positions she has held. Jewel is an alum of Woodlands High School and she has always worked and advocated for progressive results in all of her positions. Her education (SUNY-College at Buffalo for undergraduate and Masters in Public Policy expected in 2022) combined with her vast professional experience in development, philanthropy and graduate medical education administration tremendously enhance her skillset.

Jewel is passionate about her community as is evident by her many years of advocacy and leadership positions:
